Technical and legal architecture of VoyceBook's tamper-evident digital signature engine conforming to the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Statutory Legal Framework in India
Under Section 5 and Section 10A of the Indian Information Technology Act, 2000, contracts formed and executed electronically through electronic signatures are legally valid and enforceable in courts across India.
VoyceBook pairs visual signature capture (draw, type, or stamp) with an immutable cryptographic audit certificate admissible under Section 65B of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872.
Cryptographic Audit Trail Specification
When all parties sign a contract in VoyceBook, the system generates a separate Verification Certificate appended as the final page of the PDF. The certificate embeds:
| Parameter | Description | Evidentiary Value |
|---|---|---|
| Document SHA-256 Hash | Cryptographic fingerprint of the final PDF | Proves document was not altered after signing |
| Signer Authentication | Email OTP / SMS verification token | Proves signer identity and access |
| Network Metadata | Client IP address & User Agent string | Establishes geographical origin |
| Universal Timestamp | NTP-synchronized UTC ISO-8601 timestamp | Legally fixes exact moment of execution |
